These are only guidelines for fitting and does not guarantee a perfect fit. As these are handmade shoes, they may vary slightly in fit within the same size.
I suggest that people purchase ghillies or pumps as snug as they can tolerate. I know you've all heard that leather stretches and discovered that the street shoes you purchased didn't stretch as much as the sales person told you they would. Please remember that ghillies and pumps are made out of much lighter and softer leather. THEY WILL STRETCH! Some will stretch more than others. Shoes without toe seams will stretch more in length than ones with toe seams. They will all stretch in width.
The downside of buying shoes too big is that you will slop about in them and your foot is not stable leaving you open to a greater chance of injury or blisters.
